• Free: v6-mini only; third-party summaries list a daily credit allowance (around 50 credits a day).
• Pro: from about $8/month on annual billing (around $10 month-to-month), about 2,500 credits a month.
• Premier: from about $24/month on annual billing (around $30 month-to-month), about 10,000 credits a month.

Suno v6 vs v5

• Line-up: v6 comes as three models — a precise flagship, an experimental “wild” model and a free “mini” model.
• Access: free users get a v6 model (v6-mini) instead of an older generation.
• Training and licensing: Suno says v6 was built with label partners (Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe), using licensed content plus community interactions — earlier models faced lawsuits over training data.
• Editing: Suno's song editor lets you replace or regenerate a section of a song instead of starting over.
• Quality claims: Suno hasn't published benchmark or blind listening-test results for v6, so “better than v5” is Suno's claim, not a measured fact.

Licensing and lawsuits (as of October 2026)

Suno says v6 was built with Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe, and trained without Universal and Sony material. On 18 September 2026 Universal Music Group and Sony Music filed a second lawsuit, arguing v6 derives from earlier models trained on their recordings; Suno calls the claims flawed. Suno prompts work best with a short style line plus lyrics marked up with section tags. Examples you can adapt:

• Style: “warm lo-fi hip-hop, dusty drums, mellow Rhodes, male vocal, 85 bpm, late-night mood”

Tips: keep the style line to one sentence of genre + instruments + voice + tempo; write your own lyrics rather than quoting real songs; generate a few takes and keep the best, then edit only the section that's off.

Turn your photos into a music video (not with Suno)
